This vintage rare, very dark cherry amber Bakelite, faceted bead necklace is very unusual as the 55 beads look black but when held to light you can see bright flashes of their interior real color, red!
They look like black amber but they have deep red undertones.
These graduated beads are strung on an antique gold-filled braided vintage chain.
There is no clasp but at 27 inches long this glamorous amber necklace easily goes over the head.
They are graduated from the largest bead measuring approximately 1 1/8 of an inch in width to the smallest beads measuring approximately 1/3 of an inch in width.
