ONE OF A KIND ARTISTIC NEEDLEPOINT HANDBAG PURSE
HANDMADE ARTISTIC POCKETBOOK: seagulls, lighthouse, water, sky, sailboats, rocky coast
I first want to say how very much I appreciate the woman for making this unique, original, visionary, handmade pocketbook which probably took over 1 year to finish.
This is a singular creative expression by an artistic craft woman most probably in her own home on her own time and with her own point of view.
On the front needlepoint is stitched in blue yarn, "Long Island Sound".
It beholds a coastal vista of a lighthouse on a rocky shore, seagulls a plenty, sailboats, and of course, the water and the sky.
On the bottom on a red stitched panel is stitched in in black yarn, "Great Captain's Island Greenwich Conn".
The back has deeper blue and larger yarn stitchery.
This purse is of a solid construction and it has an inside of rich deep blue leather.
It has an inside firm pocket with "JR USA" embossed on it.
It does look like the handmade needlepoint panel with oh! such small stitches was sewn onto this blue existing purse.
I believe the red borders at the top and the bottom of this work of art is where this anonymous woman craft artist sewed her needlepoint vision of this island onto the blue pocketbook.
This purse is very usable and measures approximately 9 1/2 inches in height X 11 inches in width X 3 inches in depth.
Such a talented woman wherever she now is!
I hope she knew how wonderful her creations were.
And it could probably have taken this remarkable woman up to a year to complete her work on this handbag.
And to think some people spend thousands of dollars on their handbags whereas this one IS a work of art!

COLLECTIBLE ANTIQUE EVENING BAG IN BLACK THAT GOES WITH EVERYTHING!
This is an antique jet black all beaded bag front and back with a silver chain and silver top frame.
The interior black material is in good condition too as I'm not sure of what the material is!.
This gorgeous evening bag goes with all you might ever choose to wear and it is so chic and elegant.

The black jet area of this evening bag measures approximately 8 inches wide {at the widest point} X 7 inches tall with the silver chain approximately 5 1/2 inches additional.

This is a patent leather black pocketbook from the 1950's.
This is the kind of bag that a debutante would carry.
It has 2 separate inner compartments that snap tightly shut, one compartment has a zippered pocket.

It measures approximately 9 inches in width X 7 inches in height not including the handles X 3 inches in depth when empty.
Condition- good with no major or minor problems at all & interior is quite clean.

This is an adorable antique mini evening bag with antique gold & silver glass antique beads & a pink silk lining. This antique evening bag sports a complex intricate beading pattern of gold & silver in a somewhat lattice like design.   There is a clean perfect pink silk hand made lining. It is unsigned. The bag has a little white button for closing the inside of this cutest bag.
 It is true that some of the 90+ year old fringes only at the extreme bottom needs some restoration or re-beading. So please be advised of this and look carefully at our close up pix directly below of possible work to be done to make this small tiny little bag 100% again.   
This tiny petite bag measures approximately 3 1/8 of an inch wide X approximately 3
inches long not included measuring the beaded fringes that are 1 inch long and the beaded self handle is approximately 3 3/4 of an inch high.
